Mneba Island is listed as a marine reserve and is the most popular snorkelling spot in Zanzibar. The island is surrounded by a vast well-preserved coral reef with a large population of Moorish idols, blue tang and clown fish. On the sea bed you may spot blue starfish, red-knobbed starfish or the crown-of-thorns starfish. Green turtles can occasionally be seen at this spot too.
Tour guides will drop you off directly at the reef as the Island is privately owned and access is restricted.
